In this episode I talk to Dean Leffingwell, the man behind Scaled Agile Framework (SAFe), and as such, a man behind a huge amount of agile transformation globally at the moment, especially in larger enterprises. We talk about the influences behind SAFe, the vital role of managers and leaders in large scale agile change, the current framework wars and where next for the field of agile transformations…

Hey Gez, one of your listening few here!
You’re getting very slick at this, very well facilitated. I like the fast pace of this, although he was bursting to do this!
I like this; in fact I love this. The rubber hits the road here.
I keep listening to it, and it keeps giving.
My notes:
Old days: Management not invited, chicken and pig days!
Knowledge problem at management level.
Train the leaders first. They do the work.
Only management can change the system.
Middle management…….yes, them
Start where you are (love your point, well made).
SAFe can give orgs. permission to go agile.
We are to blame for the poor image and arguments.
Governance is not a rude word .
Management need to lead it. Managers first.
